Green Fingers Keep On Digging With BBC Dig In

 

 

The BBC have decided that the success of their new Dig In campaign last year warranted an extension for another year.

 

The campaign last year encouraged 87% of its participants to take the plunge and create a permanent veggie patch.

 

Once again, the Dig In crew are focussing on five easy crops to get you started. This year the featured crops are basil, salad leaves, carrots, courgettes and French beans. The website has lots of information, seed kits and help for families to get digging.

The campaign will work alongside new BBC shows including the Edible Garden with Alys Fowler, and weekly updates about the Dig In campaign being featured on Gardeners' World. For children, there will be links into CBeebies' Green Balloon Club.

 

The Dig In bus will also be on the road with the Dig In tour. Find out if it will be near you.

Great to see this one got an extension and also that the BBC are linking their programs to encourage all ages to get involved, especially children.
