Food Modelling Activity
A first step in reducing fear of new foods is building familiarity - seeing, touching, smelling as well as tasting foods.
This activity uses playdough or saltdough modelling as an anchor to encourage children to observe, touch and explore fruits and vegetables with the apprehension of eating them removed.
If you want to repeat this activity every month using different seasonal fruits or vegetables, you can use the five foods in the tasting activity as a guide.
